Aashini Shrivastav was born and raised in Dubai and came to the United States in 2012 for her higher education. She completed her B.A. at Boston College in Economics and Theology and graduated from Cardozo Law School in 2019 with a joint Juris Doctor and Masters in Bioethics. She currently lives in Charleston, SC.

Aashini has been dancing since she was 3 years old. She is classically trained in Kathak under Smt. Ketaki Hazra (Dubai, UAE), and received her Bachelor's degree in Kathak from Surabharati Sangeet Parishad (Kolkata, India) in 2007. At Boston College, she joined the only South Asian dance team on campus “MASTI” in her Freshman year, and proceeded to Captain the team for three years. She has continued to showcase her passion for dance at local performances in Charleston.

In her downtime, apart from dancing, Aashini volunteers with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Charleston Area Chapter. To unwind, she loves to read and relax with her husband and 3 rescue dogs - Snickers, Nacho, and Pepsi.
