Misa is from Japan. Because of her husband's work, she has moved around the world almost every three years since they got married.
Before coming to the USA, she lived for three years in Mumbai, India where she first encountered Bollywood. She soon became fascinated with its movies, songs and dances, which lifted her spirits. While there she took Bollywood dance classes almost every day, and sometimes her group even performed onstage.
But she loves other kinds of dancing also, and for more than a decade, she has taken classes in line dance and belly dance as well as tap, jazz, Zumba and salsa.
When she came to St. Louis in 2017, she found the BollyX LIT (Low Impact Training) class. She was thrilled and enrolled immediately, for she loved the idea of combining Indian dance with a workout. She is happy to be a part of the BollyX community and can't wait to teach classes to those who are interested in shaking their bodies. She welcomes you to join her and unleash your Rockstar!
