Hello!
I'm Mickel (pronounced My-Kul, it's just spelled weird) and over the past few years my life has been positively changed through fitness and I'm excited to share it with you. I never danced until I was 36, even though I studied music through college. It wasn't until a few years ago I knew I needed to change my health direction and went to my first dance fitness class. Even after I tripped over my own feet (true story) I has having fun and sweating like crazy. I kept going to class but was looking for something that fit my personality. A local dance fitness instructor introduced a couple BollyX songs to our class and I knew it was what I was looking for in the first class. BollyX has the music and dancing like nothing else out there and its a class that didn't feel like it was just for ladies. There are powerful and fun moves that increase your energy and confidence.
So I invite you out to a class and go be a Rockstar with us!
Life Bio: I started life on the farthest northwest tip of Washington state (Go Seahawks!) where I grew up focusing on music and art through my undergraduate degree. I moved to Washington DC to work for the Smithsonian Institute and than Oklahoma. By day, I am the Director of Collections and Exhibitions at the Sherwin Miller Museum of Jewish Art in Tulsa, OK and Adjunct Professor for the University of Oklahoma (Boomer!) By night after BollyX class, I have been a freelance graphic designer and artist since 1998.
