My name is Shamini Rajendran, but people usually call me Sham. I am 28 years old and I am an Engineer at a company called BAE Systems. I graduated with my undergrad in Aerospace Engineering from Syracuse University in May 2016. I love to keep busy and keep striving to be my very best. On top of work I am also pursuing a part-time MBA at Bentley University. I'was living in Boston for the last 4 years and just recently moved back to my hometown of Norwalk, CT.

Some of my hobbies include dancing (of course). I was a Bhangra dancer in college and I've missed it so much since graduating from Syracuse. Some of my other hobbies include snowboarding (but I'm still a beginner so no black diamond slopes for me, hiking, general outdoor activities, fitness, and traveling. I also love spending time with my friends and family.

Why do I dance? Dance is my happy place! When I start to dance, I forget everything else around me. And when I master choreography, that feeling I get afterwards is unmatched. That's why I wanted to become an instructor, because I know dance can be such a positive impact so I want to be able to provide that to those who also feel like dance is their happy place or to those who just want to add a little dance to their fitness journey.
