Hi everyone!
My name is Avani and I moved to United States 9 years ago. Being born and brought up in the heart of Bollywood, Mumbai, dancing has been engraved in me since early childhood. I started by learning Indian classical dance Bharatanatyam for 3 years.

Dancing on land felt comfortable enough so I took a dive into the water and learnt synchronized swimming. I have been a swimmer since the age of 4 and my passion for dancing lead me to combine both and compete internationally representing India at Asian Games 2005, Commonwealth Games 2006 and 2010 and many other competitions. Through my college years at Drexel University, I expanded my dancing knowledge learning Ballet, Jazz and African Dance.

I started taking BollyX classes in Oct 2017 and I just knew I wanted to be a part of the BollyX team and share this experience with everyone that wants to have fun while breaking a sweat. Bollywood music has the power to get me tapping my feet anywhere and I am excited to dance along this fitness journey with you!
