DawN is a true renaissance woman! She is an interdisciplinary performing artist creating work in the space where dance, theater, burlesque, drag and poetry meet. She has a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College with a focus in performing arts, and an M.F.A. in Interdisciplinary Arts from Goddard College with a focus on 20th Century Black Radical Artists and the intersections of dance, poetry and theater. She is a vertan arts educator who has worked extensively for the past twenty-two years as a teaching artist throughout all five boroughs of New York City bringing dance, theater and poetry to elementary, junior high and high school students. And for the past eight years she has shared her love of movement and feeling great in your body with many as a group fitness instructor teaching Zumba Fitness. Then four years ago she was introduced to BollyX via a training that her gym hosted. It was love at first dance and she has been a proud BollyX instructor ever since!
