Michelle loves to dance. She was trained by her mother at the age of 5, who taught folk and modern dances at her elementary & high school. And at age 14, she was trained to perform Chinese dances by an ex-acrobat performer from China. When she got accepted to the Computer Programming at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, her first question was whether she would have enough time to join their world-renowned Folk Dance Team. She was discouraged to join as computer programming major would be time consuming and demanding. She ignored that & joined the team until she graduated college.
As her busy life started to creep in, she found herself missing the days when she performed on the stage. So in the year 2000, she and her mother decided to start a non-profit folk dance group in Utah--choreographing and performing several dances both in and out of state.
Fast forward 15 years later, she became very obsessed in Bollywood dances when she first saw Hrithik Roshan in "Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai." She would watch every Bollywood shows on Netflix just so she could follow the dance steps. She searched for any type of Bollywood dance school nearby but found BollyX On Demand instead. As a folk dance choreographer, it's in her blood to instruct and not just to be a participant. She has decided to be a certified BollyX LIT instructor, so she can enjoy teaching and learning at the same time.
