I grew up in Southern Vermont and settled in Wilmington, not too far from my hometown. I studied Early Childhood Development at Southern Vermont College. After nearly a decade of working in a variety of child care and enrichment programs, I decided to take a break from ECD. Burnout is high in ECD, and I wanted to leave before that hit, so that I still liked working with children once I reached the years of motherhood. So, I spent a couple of years managing the Guest Services department at our local ski area.

Following that, I stumbled into the field of quilting and worked at our local quilt shop, for several years, as their quilting instructor. I currently own my own long arm machine quilting business. I also sell my products on Etsy and at Arts & Craft shows. My kids have become teenagers, but when they were young, I ran a home child care. Now, my focus is on my quilting business, my family (husband, 2 children and 2 dogs), and myself.

Aside from quilting, I enjoy reading, knitting, snowboarding, wake boarding, hiking, recreational dancing and wine. While I have always been an active person, I was never "into fitness". It was only over the past two years that I have begun to workout with regularity, doing strength training at home, as well as taking BollyX classes and a few other traditional dance classes, including Bollywood and European folk dance.

I have fallen in love with the BollyX workout. Since 2017, I have traveled nearly an hour from home to take weekly classes. I am so thrilled to be bringing BollyX to my community!
